Major producers of Stainless & Duplex Steels are aware of this and use Irvon to cut and form their plates on a Free Issue basis, safe in the knowledge that the job will be processed accurately and returned to back to them contamination free. Because of this we have formed partnerships with these producers and can offer great prices and the quickest deliveries.

All of our machines have been designed with the cutting and bending of stainless steel in mind and have dedicated settings or tooling.

Our guillotines have computers that control both the blade gap and rake angle to optimise cut quality. The biggest press brake in the UK can fold Stainless or Duplex Steels up to 12.5 metres in length and with special tooling designed not to contaminate or mark the material.

The very latest plasma cutting machine can cut Stainless & Duplex Steels up to 50mm in thickness. The machine not only cuts vertically but it can also bevel cut to produce weld preps etc. and by selecting different plasma gases we can produce edges that need no further preparation before welding, even for nuclear applications.

At Irvon we can roll plates up to 3 metres wide and 120mm thick and pre - set up to 80mm.
