The machines are programmed according to the type of material being cut, the tensile strength and the thickness. The CNC control then optimises the blade gap and rake angle of the blade to give the best cut quality, this also increases accuracy.
We can easily shear long lengths up to 8.2 metres in a range of thicknesses from 0.9mm up to 13mm depending on the material.
A unique torsion control feature is employed when cutting long and narrow strips. This supports both sides of the cut preventing twist, even on narrow strips and means that we can produce sheared edge flats in unusual grades and non standard sizes or lengths.

Another advanced feature saves both time and energy use by limiting the length of cut. This means that if we need to cut a part that is only 2 metres long, then the blade only cuts 2 metres before repositioning for the next cut.
