A unique development here at Irvon is the ability to cut countersunk holes using our high power laser cutting machine. For example, we can cut parts with a 15mm countersunk bolt hole in 25mm thick steel, including the 7-9mm straight that a typical M14 bolt would need. We can also make smaller holes or larger holes in thicker material. Our machine does this by rotating and tilting its bevel head to 45°, allowing us to countersink up to the full bevelling thickness of the machine. This innovation reduces costs for customers in time saved or the need to subcontract the countersinking.
