We have modernised our CNC cutting and are now offering up to 50mm thick fibre laser cutting – Better acurracy, better edge quality and faster production. While upgrading our bevel cutting capabilities from plasma, we can now do it to a higher precision, more efficiently and have added new techniques like countersunk holes.
With the latest generation of fibre laser machines and the latest drives and height control systems, we can also offer parts with weld preps along the full 12m length, even as thin as 6mm. Being able to cut these preps accurately and reliably is a major advantage in production and can save hundreds of hours versus cutting by hand or using a track. Our in-house development of techniques and coding has also yielded the ability to countersink holes, cut at the same time as any other hole, saving time further in production. These capabilities are unique to Irvon in UK.
There is also facility to etch part numbers, assembly marks and locations and traceability data directly onto parts when cutting, efficiently managing quality throughout production.
