To improve traceability and more efficient assembly of parts, Irvon offers CNC-controlled marking across multiple machines. From fine laser lines, prominent and visible plasma marks, centerpunch style spot marks, to CNC peened part numbers, we have various options. In addition to identification, etching assembly marks is particularly useful – the edge positions of adjoining parts can be etched onto parts to greatly simplify fabrication. Spot marks, which act just like centerpunch marks can help position drill bits for drilled holes.
All of our marking techniques are low stress, which is typically required in defence and offshore applications. The depth, heat and force can all be adjusted, making it suitable for materials and surface finishes from Hardox and primed plates to aluminium.
